About Us

The story that begins with a black plastic bag

In many ways, our story begins like "The Ugly Duckling" by H.C. Andersen
- A little rough around the edges and soaked to the bone
Back in 2009, Danish designer and lifelong cyclist Joe Anderson found himself in yet another downpour. No gear. No cover. Just frustration, a makeshift trash bag, and a cold, soggy ride home.
That ride sparked a thought: Why hasn’t anyone designed proper rainwear for people who actually bike?

That’s how NoRain took shape - not in a lab, but in the middle of a miserable commute. Joe spent the next decade refining a poncho that wasn’t just waterproof, but purpose-built: compact, easy to throw on, and functional for the chaos of urban riding.

From sketchbooks to storm testing, from soggy prototypes to the final cut, NoRain has always been about turning frustration into freedom.

We believe cycling should feel good - rain or shine - and we’re committed to helping you show up dry, visible, and ready for whatever the weather throws at you.

From Copenhagen to wherever you roam, we’re proud to be part of your ride.

The Family Business

(Whether They Agreed or Not)

In many ways, NoRain has always been a family project - whether the rest of the family signed up for it or not.

From early test rides in heavy autumn rain to last-minute photoshoots with poncho prototypes, Joe’s kids - Sara, Jonas, and Lucas - have been part of the journey since day one. Sometimes willingly. Sometimes very much not.

Over time, the dinner table brainstorms became real ideas, and what started as one man’s mission to stay dry turned into a tightly knit team.

Today, NoRain is run by Joe, Jonas and Lucas - still designing, still testing, and still riding. And along the way, they’ve roped in a few old friends who also believe biking should be as easy as possible.

We’re proud to be family-owned, independently operated, and always riding together.

Our Mission

To help everyday cyclists stay dry, visible, and confident - no matter what the sky’s up to.

We design rain gear that works with you, not against you - because biking shouldn’t stop when the weather turns Danish.

Our Vision

We believe biking is the future.
Cleaner cities. Happier commutes. Better mornings.

That’s why we’re here: to remove the small frustrations (like wet clothes) that hold people back from riding more.

If we can make biking feel just 10% easier, we’re doing our job right.
